Artist Bio

Ilinca is a Bucharest-based visual artist who mainly works with oil paint, charcoal, graphite and collage, and is currently finishing her Master's degree. She considers making art inherently a self-discovery and self-reflection process. One of the main subjects of her work is the human body, which she chooses to depict in a raw, unidealized manner, in any shape or size it comes, with every curve and every flaw. The series "Nudes", which makes up her Bachelor's degree project, aims to promote body positivity and acceptance in an excessively filtered and superficial world.
