Artist Bio
Dimitra Gkoutzou graduated from the Visual and Applied Arts department of AuTh and currently pursues a Master in Philosophy and Arts. She has been interviewed by Les Nouveaux Riches magazine and has participated in several group shows.
Artist Statement
The Colorbinds topic addresses the feelings that result from interacting with the Other, as defined by Levinas's philosophy. The difficulties that arise from engaging with the Other and the harmony that follows serve as examples of the subjectivity of these emotional states. As a result these states are depicted in a dynamic manner and express the relationship that is shaped with the Other or with myself.
