Artist Bio

Georgiana Chitac was born in Constanta, but now lives and creates in Bucharest, where she has a small workshop.

Although she  studied art for 10 years, she ended her studies with an economist diploma.

In 2009 she returned to art, becoming an illustrator. In 2019 she laid the foundations for a small business with illustrated products, where the main subject are anthropomorphic animals - Animini (animini.ro)

Since 2022 she is the curator of a small art gallery in Bucharest, dedicated to illustration and ceramics - White Flat Gallery (whiteflatgallery.com).

Over the years she has illustrated numerous children's books. Georgiana is also an author of children's books, so far publishing 3 books as a writer.

But the illustration for the children's books is not the only genre she practices. She also likes the commercial, editorial or fine art illustration.

Her best-known personal project is "Les Dames de Bucharest", which was highly appreciated by both the general public and the specialists in the artistic field. The latest personal exhibition was dedicated to this project and took place at the Constanta Art Museum, in 2023. The project can be seen in full on the dedicated site - lesdamesdebucarest.ro
