Artist Bio

Amandine Emilie is a self-taught artist, graduated from a Master in Art History, a multidisciplinary being active in the field of visual arts. Her mediums are multiple, from linocut, drawing, painting, to hand-poked tattoo, and pyrography. She works the most with block printing, adopting recycled and upcycled materials as printing supports. She cherishes simplicity, minimalism and creating art using existing resources. Through her work, she tends to minimize her personal impact on the ecosystem, hoping that it can raise awareness on a collective level. Connection with nature and the feminine instinct are currently her main subjects of predilection. Meanwhile, she lets herself be inspired by alchemy, tarot, mystical themes and the psychology of dreams. The self-healing dimension of art is certainly the most important key in her practice.
